Dr. Schreyer-Hoffman is a Licensed Psychologist in New York, Virginia and Florida. She provides evidence-driven treatment that is tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of her patients. Dr. Schreyer-Hoffman is direct, caring, compassionate and authentic in her approach. She works collaboratively with her patients to understand their perspectives, experiences, stressors, symptoms, needs and goals. Dr. Schreyer-Hoffman incorporates humor in her work and is transparent about her process and interventions. She teaches her patients how to notice and modify maladaptive patterns, utilize coping skills, develop concrete problem-solving skills and modify their style of relating to themselves and others. She aids in enhancing self-understanding and awareness, identifying problem areas and building on individual strengths. She is passionate about her work and is committed to helping her patients.

Dr. Schreyer-Hoffman specializes in the treatment of eating and weight disorders. Utilizing leading evidence-based treatments, specifically Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT-E), Maudsley Family Based Therapy, and Mirror Exposure Treatment, she works collaboratively with patients on their journey toward recovery and balance.
Training & Experience
Dr. Schreyer-Hoffman received her Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Fordham University. She has extensive training and experience in evidence-based treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT-E) for the treatment of Eating Disorders, Maudsley Family Based Therapy for treating adolescents and children with Anorexia Nervosa, Exposure Therapies, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic therapies, Trauma-Focused CBT and Mindfulness. Dr. Schreyer-Hoffman obtained her vast training and clinical experiences from many prominent programs and hospitals in New York City, including Mount Sinai’s Center of Excellence in Eating and Weight Disorders, Mount Sinai Beth Israel’s Child, Adolescent and Family Outpatient Program, Columbia University Medical Center, The Karen Horney Institute for Psychoanalysis and Psychodynamic Therapy, Neuropsychology Associates, Pace University Counseling Center and The Renfrew Center. Her eclectic training and experience with children, adolescents, and adult patients has allowed her to build a strong clinical foundation for understanding mental health across the lifespan. Prior to founding Upper East Side Psychology, Dr. Schreyer-Hoffman worked at group private practices as a clinician, supervisor and clinical consultant.
